Research On Security Mechanism Of B1 Level Secure Database

With the widely use of computer and the pervasion of Internet, much information has been produced and stored in the database, among which there are public information and secret information as well. Database must protect the access of secret information stored in it. Thus, it is an urgent and important task to ensure the security of the database.In multilevel secure database, subjects accessing the database and objects stored in the database are assigned security labels. Subjects access the objects according to the relationship between their security labels, following the Mandatory Access Control policy. The introducing of security label brings about many new problems, such as multilevel relation, Inference problem, polyinstantiation and mandatory access control. We discuss these problems in this paper. Incorporating rules into database can give it the ability to response actively. We give the syntax, representation of multilevel rules and discuss the execution of it. Query processing plays an important role in the database functionality .We focus on the research of query modification by applying security constraints. Basing on traditional SQL, we give the syntax of multilevel secure SQL and discuss its implementation. Finally, We design the architecture of Bl level secure database and discuss some issues relative to implementation.
