The influence of clear air turbulence to the aviation flight safety, is attaching more and more attention. The beginning researches and manufacture of airborne laser radar detecting clear air turbulence system is to adapt to the demand of the modern aviation development. The airborne Lidar can probe into roughly 7,000 rice scope in front of the airplane, and warn airplane pilot early under the situation of having clear air turbulence, so that the airplane pilot can take the homologous measure according to the circumstance. The difficulty of system research lies in the lidar measuring wind velocity accuracy and data processing. Part work has been made in this thesis , primarily aiming at data process. The thesis is divided into the four parts primarily. The first part is summarizing, introducing present development condition and trends of detecting clear air turbulence mostly. The second part of this paper is clear air turbulence detection theories foundation. The third part deals with the data, in which the clear air turbulence detection and warning system is introduced, and validity of the laser radar probe applied in clear air turbulence detection is verified, and the data process method used in this paper -empirical mode decomposition method is tested to be useful on the application in the clear air turbulence. The fourth part is software development, including warning interface and software flow charts of each part.By help of flight test data processing work finished, the laser radar has the further investigative value in clear air turbulence detection and empirical mode decomposition method in the laser radar data handle application.
