Research On Web Data Mining Technology Based On XML

The network technology has penetrated in all sides of the society. Accompanying the rapid development of network all over the world, more and more information mediums such as database and information system are entering in it, which has made Internet become the most abundand and sweeping database of the world. And with the increasing of computing capacity, the maturity of Al algorithm and vast capacity of storage, in the face of the propulsive and complex space of the Web, the main problem puzzling the world is how to mine knowledge efficiently and quickly from the tremendous amount of net document. Web data mining is a good method to deal with the problem.In this paper, we first describe the data mining techniques in general, concepts, methods, techniques and algorithms. It interpret what is data mining, why we need data mining, how to data mining, the process of the data mining, the type of the data mining, the relation between data mining and OLAP and the development of the data mining.The following is disserted the application of data mining techniques to the World Wide Web. At first, we introduce summarize of XML and the contrast between XML and HTML. Then we discuss in detail the content, characteristic, problems unsolved of Web data mining. To deal with the semi-structured data on the Web, this paper transforms the semi-structured data to well structured and builds a prototype of Web mining system named Web_mining. The purpose is to provide a practical model for Web mining and make it more effective to discovery knowledge on the Web.Last we introduce Agent technology into data mining based on Web mining, and put forward a kind of system structure based on Agent technology. Then we point out the orientation and prospect of Web mining, and the difficult it facing.
