Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) is a technique based on the capacitance sensing array electrode. ECT system has the advantages of being non-intrusive, fast in response and low in cost. It has great developing potential in industrial application.Although ECT technique has achieved great progress in the recent twenty years, and has promising applications in industrial processes, many basic researches need also to be done in the further steps. This research emphasized on the design and application investigation of ECT system. The following achievements have been obtained:1,The development of the simulation software package of ECT system The simulation software package of ECT system based on Matlab has been developed, which includes forward problem and inverse problem. The models can be constructed and dissected automatically according to given parameters in solving forward problem. The finite element computation is done based on the dissection models. The reconstruction algorithms include back projection algorithm and filter back projection algorithm for inverse problem.2,The optimum design of array electrodeThe sensing filed in ECT system is 'soft-filed', which is inhomogeneous and mainly relies on the structure parameter of array electrode. The effect of the structure parameters of array electrode on the uniformity of sensing field distribution is analyzed, and the optimum design using the finite element method is made. A set of optimum parameters is obtained.3,A set of ECT system is designed and developed successfully.4,A series of performance experiments have been done A series of performance experiments have been done on the developed ECT system, which include static performance experiments and dynamic performance experiments. The static performance experiments include the spatial resolution test, experiments of many objects and typical static models of gas/liquid two-phase flow. The results showed that the obtained reconstructed images were quite clear. The dynamic performance test is mainly about the speed of the reconstruction images. The preliminary test speed is about 8 frames per second.Zhang Lifeng (Control Theory and Control Engineering) Directed by pro. Wang Huaxiang... |
