Authentication is the first barrier of the network /information system security field. It is a key field in the information age. And the Crypto logical authentication has been researched and has promising application in future.First, this article introduces its research background and some concepts concerned with cipher. And then classifies the encrypt algorithms, emphasizes on several algorithms and their theories in common use. In succession it describes the technique of digital signature and identity identification based on the encrypt algorithms. Introduce ELGamal digital signature in details. And put forward an improved digital signature scheme as inverse operations reduced and is efficient with high security. At the end of the thesis, design an identity identification pattern based on improved ELGamal signature scheme. And in order to test and verify the pattern we develop a simulate system .The experimental results show that the identity identification pattern is correct and has high efficiency . During the design we especially research the producing of random sequence and big prime.
