Drawing machines are electromechanical graphics output equipments controlled by computers, which can make the graphics produced by computers draw on the drawing paper and save it with drawing pens or ink. Drawing machines are used widely in mechanism, electronics, architecture, business managements, office automation, even fashion design and so on. Now they have become important parts in clothing CAD system. With the very fast development of computer technology, drawing machines have already had intelligent functions. This kind of drawing machine is controlled by microprocessor, and there are CPU, memory, buses and interface electric circuit etc in the machine. In fact control system is a computer, which calls in-machine microprocessor. This kind of drawing machine can draw itself without relevant software, not controlled by computer, and it also can display the graphics on the LCD screen. There are USB and network interface in the machine, we can draw a graphics from an USB disk or any computer on the Internet. Generally, drawing machine has four motors, two stepping motors control movement of pen and paper, and the other two direct current electric motors control the spools of giving paper and spooling paper. It turns out that the drawing machines developed by embedded system have many merits, such as more functions, more friendly interface and more precise control.
