Research Of Internet Information Security Based On Honeypot Technology

With the development of network technology and the application of Internet, the problem of information security becomes more and more acute, and has became an important and imminent question. In the paper, based on the traditional honeypot system, a new system of information security, which was combined with the IDS technology, was designed.By using the independent operating-system library of winpcap, the module of data capture was developed, which enhanced the flexibility of the information security system on different operate system. With the programming techniques of multimedia and multithreading, the effectively processing of the captured data was achieved. In addition, the real time monitoring of Internet information was obtained by the visual programming.By the methods of concealing the monitoring course and protecting the event database and important configuration files, the security of system was greatly improved. An event database, which recorded all intrusions, was developed.In this thesis, all the safety measure used in the Honeypot system have been researched, and we put this system in a designed environment to test its ability against some attacks which are common seen through Internet, and finally we analysis the result of the real test on Internet.
