This thesis presents a real time portable image processing system, which is composed of CCD Camera and Capture Card. The system adopts the method of image-processing and analyzing algorithm that is based on the record of X-ray information to detect suspicious objects in time. It can be applied to such areas as safety protection, medical diagnosis and flaw detection in industry and so on. Process X-ray information in computer using image-processing technique is the application of intelligent diagnosis theory. The thesis covers following contents:1. The thesis discusses the relevant technique of developing the real time systemunder WINDOWS. And then introduces the working flow of Capture Card and CCD Camera and the steps in realizing it.2. The second part of the thesis introduces the relevant theory of information and general algorithms. Based on this, presents some novel image processing algorithms. Additionally, designs some special image processing operators used in eliminating noises.3. The third part discusses the threshold selection technique in image processing, and presents an automatic threshold selection method.4. The fourth part of the thesis makes an analysis of the truss of the system and puts forward the author' s design which is an image- processing software system based on X-ray.5. Last part of the thesis is the conclusion. The system is developed in VB 6.0 environment, and it has both friend interface and reliable performance. It' s a portable system and is successfully applied to safety protection.The result of the experiment shows that the system has many advantages as: low cost, extension, easy to use, high efficiency, high speed and power functional features. The detection result is satisfying and has a valuable applying future.
