The source of this project is the national key science and research item assumed by the institute of aviation and avigation materials. The automatic measurement system for the thickness a and surface configuration of plane and curve transparent shell object composed of the non-contact photoelectrical measurement technique and the corresponding robotic system can supply the 3D surface data, machining data and position. The main aim is that researching the 3D data measurement system and realization technique, the measurement calibration method and on-line realization. The measurement cameras can move with the mechanism of robotic, realize 3D sca-nning measurement, supply the 3D point clouds data of the upper and under surface about the reference coordinate and realize the thickness measurement and surface shape interpolation. The surface 3D data acquisition and thickness computation is the key part for curve and transparent shell object. The main aim is that researching the 3D data measurement system and realization technique, the measurement system calibration method and on-line realization.This paper is based on this project. We assume and design the 3D data measurement system and realization technique based on the principle of the structure light measurement, and the calibration method and on-line realization.The main work of this paper is the research of surface 3D data measurement and thickness computation. The results supply basic theory method and applied technique for the complicated automatic 3D measurement system of curve and transparent shell object and attain the anticipating aim.This paper presents an automatic measurement system.
