The Study And Application Of OOIE Methodology In Public Security Systems

The choice of system development methodology is essential to the success or failure of information system construction, Though each method has its own characteristic , we do not need to totally separate them. This article is to study the OOIE(Object-Oriented Information Engineering) methodology, Study how to combine Information Engineering method with Object-Oriented technology and make good use of them in the public security compositive information system construction.The work is divided into two parts: the research of theory proving the feasibility and validity in the system construction of OOIE methodology which combines Information Engineering and Object-Oriented; Then through the project of Dalian public security bureau' s compositive information system construction , we introduce and analyze the method and approach of integrating Information Engineering and Object-Oriented into the basic framework of large-scale information system in detail.During the project, firstly , we used the method of Information Engineering to carry on an overall planning and analyzing of Dalian public security system and gained 20 function areas' business models, 28 subject databases' data models and more than 30 subsystems' function models, data models and systematic architecture models. Then regarding this achievement as guidance, we used Rational Rose to design every subsystems' UML diagrams, used Object-Oriented method to shorten the life cycle, and construct the public security compositive information system .Through research and application, the overall solution of OOIE methodology played a relatively obvious role to the information system of Dalian public security bureau. In the guidance of information resources planning' s achievement materials, subsystems are being implemented stepby step , Some main subsystems such as Permanent resident population system, criminal case system and administrative case system have finished switches with old systems and run well.This article put forward the research and practice approach of large-scale information system construction which uses Object-Oriented technology under the guidance of Information Engineering and strategic data planning method, in the same time apply them to public security compositive information system construction, and gained certain achievements, but information construction is a long-term, complicated course , we will meet a lot of problems and must probe constantly in practices.
