Item Bank System is one important measure to guarantee tests to have high quality and little fluctuation and achieve the testing goal better. In recent years the application of Internet Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Tutoring Area imposes new requirements in Item Bank System. Developing an Adaptive Item Bank System based on Web is the trend of the industry.Based on such background, with the use of the concept of membership function in fuzzy mathematics and the support of . NET technology, this paper introduces Genetic Algorithm to solve the problem of generating test paper in Adaptive Item Bank System. It also analyzes the structure of Adaptive Item Bank System and presents the description of its key technology and its key algorithms.This paper consists of four parts:First, we analyze the main problems of traditional Item Bank System, and then introduce Genetic Algorithm to solve the problem of generating test paper in Adaptive Item Bank System.Second, we use Binomial Distribution Function to accomplish the control of difficulty proportion in Adaptive Item Bank System.Third, we use membership function in fuzzy mathematics to accomplish the control of the question number of each knowledge point, and present the algorithm.Fourth, we use Genetic Algorithm to solve the problem of generating test paper in Adaptive Item Bank System, and define new coding method and all kinds of genetic operator.
