The Daqing oil field is the earliest one where polymer-flooding industrialization is developed at home. With polymer-flooding industrialization popularized and polymer-flooding scale enlarging constantly, the tracing and adjustment of polymer flooding are requested to be more and more accurate. In order to improve the overall effect of tracing and adjustment, the polymer-flooding comprehensive adjustment system is set up. The system is mainly used to analyze the production situation of polymer-flooding area, well group and single well, then carry out tracing and adjustment, optimize the adjustment scheme, which offer the basis for establishing the scheme of single well. And the system will forecast and evaluate the medium and long-term result after the measures, finally, improve the whole developing effect of polymer flooding.In the course of realizing system, we adopt COM technology time after time. On one hand, the design, issue and calling of COM components make the structure of function of the system clearer and more logical; On the other hand, the application of OLE automation in scheme designing subsystem may implement the integration of applications and Excel easily. In addition, when forecast and evaluate the polymer-flooding comprehensive adjustment scheme, we have adopted artificial neural network technology. As far as the index of non-linear between cause and effect is concerned, as long as there are enough historical data and influence factors and prediction indexes are determined by expert's experience, artificial neural network model may be adopted to predict the developing index, and plays a supporting role for evaluating the final result. Furthermore, the system uses some other important technologies, such as data access technology based on ODAC, analytic method based on knowledge, object-oriented graphic design and so on.The article firstly introduces polymer-flooding developing situation and main research content of this subject, then introduces some theories of component technology and component object model (COM). In the third chapter, we design the overall structure of the system. In the fourth and fifth chapter, the article introduces the application of COM and artificial neural network in the system respectively. At last, it mentions some important technologies used in the system.
