Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) is one of the advanced measurement methods in two-phase flow processes with virtues such as simplicity, cheapness and non-invasion. Furthermore, it has promising applications in industrial processes.Simulation environment is very important to the research and design work of ECT Systems. The author has applied the robust and strong DELAUNAY algorithm to compliment the triangle meshing in the simulation procedures to generate values of capacitances and sensitivity distributions of the static electrical fields, by which it is convenient to do research on the design of the capacitance sensors, the forward problem and the inverse problem study of ECT.In order to resolve the smear problem, the author refers to an image reconstruction algorithm MOR (model based reconstruction algorithm) , which is especially applied to the measurements of two-phase flow with known flow patterns and sparse distributions of solid components. Tests show that MOR algorithm has apparent effects in improving quality of image reconstruction.
