This paper started with discussing the developing of Internet. First, we have discussed several questions which IPv4 is facing, such as the limit of IPv4 address space, the increasing size of the routing tables, the absence of QOS. Then, we have discussed IPv6 technology that is the solution of this problem, we also analyzed the difference between IPv4 and IPv6 technology. We mainly recommended characteristics and technology regulations about IPv6 technology.This paper is mainly studying the technology about the transition of IPv4 network to IPv6 network. We discussed clearly several solutions abut this problem, such as Dual Stack > Tunnel and NAT-PT. We have completed many experiments about IPv6 on different Operating System and we have set up an IPv6 test network . On our IPv6 test network, we have finished many transition mechanisms such as Microsoft's NAPT, Dual stack and Tunnel. Now, we have established a tunnel between our IPv6 test network and Cernet IPv6 testbed. By doing these experiments, we have learned more about transition technology and found some questions that we have put forward our own solutions.Depending on RFC3053, we have set up our own model of Tunnel Brokero We have introduced our project clearly in this paper, such as TB's modules and the methods to complete ito The Tunnel Broker provides a convenient way to connect user's IPv6 hosts to IPv6 testbed.
