How to measure exactly the coal mass of pulverizer in fossil power plant? It is one of primary causes that the efficiency of milling control is low and the automation is difficult to running. In this paper a method of solving uncertainty problem-evidential theory was studied principally from the view of the multiple sensor information fusion. Aiming at the limitation of evidential theory, we put forward the fuzzy evidential theory combined the evidential theory and fuzzy theory, and applied to the measure of the coal mass of pulverrizer. The fusion result showed that the scale of the coal mass could be educed using this method. But this was restricted by the experience of experts. As the neural network has self-organize, sell-learn, collateral distributing manage, strong fault tolerant and robustness, we combined the evidential theory and the neural network and put forward a two-step fusion method. We can get the scale and the variety trend of the coal mass with this two-step fusion method.
