Geometric modeling has broad applications in CAD, production design and long-distance exhibition medical etc. It is always a difficult problem which people expect to solve about how to quickly and conveniently fulfill the geometric modeling of sculpture. The modeling based on Computer Vision is a hotspot in the recent years, but most in theory, the simple and convenient system is not in existence, In the paper, 3D reconstruction was studied by making the best of two kinds of information in the scene: occluding contour and shadow information, and three kinds of ways used for the geometric modeling of sculpture was put forward.Firstly, starting with restriction of occluding contour, based on the traditional volume intersect to realize the full expression of the restriction by using surface distortion technology, then one simple way was get for modeling of sculpture. Compared with others, we can gain better result from less numbers of images because the restriction are fully expressed, In addition, the result is expressed in spline which is conveniently to use.Secondly, Focusing on the problem that occluding contour difficult to abstract and the larger amount in former way, one simple image system is designed to simplify the abstracting of occluding contour, and improve the last way by using the information of silhouette and points where silhouette are formed. The efficiency and precision are improved.At last, in the same system, by researching the shape restriction of concave region which self-occluding shadow information act on, and one simple modeling of concave region was fulfilled, which make it possible to model non-convex complicated shape in the passive vision system.
