E-mail being as a new communications tool is a successful example of the Internet application. It has been born before long, but it has infected all aspects of the human-being deeply including the working and the living. However, E-mail gives a lot of advantages for ill-message spreading abroad. Nowadays, it becomes a headache problem for many users because of all kinds of spam appearing on Internet. It's a focus research field for many research people how to effectively filter the spam.At the present time, the main research fields focus into filtering information by the key words in the world. It prevents the spam from the Internet through setting the filter and the black list and so on. But all of these technologies are devoid of intelligence and self-adaptation.After analyzing the disadvantages of the traditional filter methods, the author points out the modularized architecture of the E-mail firewall system based on SMTP protocol on Bayes distributing by statistically analyzing a lot of spam in this paper. At the same time, the paper gives the design and the experimentation for this system in detail. This E-mail firewall includes six models, such as the filter,the agent service of SMTP and the cooperative system etc. All of the models cooperate with each other and shape an entire E-mail firewall system. The model of the E-mail filter is a key part in this E-mail firewall system. In this model, the author puts forward the filter algorithm based on Bayes distributing by researching the statistical distributing of the spam keys. At the same time, the rationality and the efficiency of the filter algorithm have been particularly analyzed in the model. The system can build different filter machines through the requirement of the users. It also can conclude the probability of the spam for an E-mail by using the statistical distributing of the E-mail keys. The value of the statistical distributing of the spam keys can be also adjusted during the running of the system so that enhance the self-adaptation of the system.At last, the author tests the whole system and demonstrates this system is reasonable and correct by the testing data. It has been also proved that the Bayes algorithm is more efficient and has some intelligence and self-adaptation.
