Intrusion Detection Basedon Self-purification Theory

Firstly, Causes of the security problems of Internet, the characteristic of the popular network security technology are analyzed in this thesis. Due to its essential role in network security, research on intrusion detection techniques is of great importance. The advantages and the disadvantages of some different intrusion detection methods are respectively analyzed in this thesis. A new algorithm based on self-purification theory was proposed.Statistical algorithm is used as the basic, self-purification idea is used as the theory and genetic algorithm is used as the tool. Flowing and precipitation of the self- purification is applied in the intrusion detection for optimizing the detection model and eliminating the latent intrusion data. By making fitness function, model self-purifying is realized.There is only limited power to the single intrusion detection, so IDS based on manifold detection methods is suggested for enhancing the power of the IDS.
