Of all the Building Automation Systems (BAS), heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems are most important from the viewpoint of saving energy and improving the quality of the indoor environment Therefore, adopting efficient control strategies for air-conditioning plays a vital role in developing improved energy management control (EMC) systems for intelligent buildings (IB). Nowadays, VAV air-conditioning system has gradually become most popular in China and abroad because of its significant energy saving. However, since VAV system is multivariable, strongly coupled, nonlinear and time variant, its design, performance and management are more difficult than CAV system's, and stable control of the entire VAV system is focused in particular in china.According to the conditions that the air handling units(AHU) has coupling variable and is difficult to operate stably, based on analysing and comparing many schemes about decoupling control of multivariable system,this paper presents a th-order inverse system based on artificial neural network(ANN) to decouple and control the plant. Firstly, the paper analyses the fundamental principles and study algorithm of BP network which is used to decoupling control.Modeling with neural network,and using serial-parallel identification structure, the author obtains the two input and two output dynamic neural network model of subsystem formed by monitoring variable frequency-pressure and fiesh air valve-consistency of indoor's CO2 of AHU. The author obtains the inverse dynamic neural network model of AHU off-line,and use the dynamic model to testify the feasibility of inverse system's open-loop decoupling by simulation.Using the software and hardware supplied by Johnson Controls,programming the software of decoupling control algorithm using VB-DDE-METASYS mode,the author proves the feasibility of the decoupling control scheme based on ANN a th-order inverse system that applied to the VAV system through experimentThe results are satisfying and can be used in engineering later.
