The Fast Control Power Supply (FCPS) of the TOKAMAK is a DC supply withhuge capacity to provide rapid magnetic field constraint to the plasma. Aimed at the specific requirements to the functionality and performance of FCPS, the dissertation puts forward an approach of the FCPS design. In this approach a modular DC/DC power supply that may be running in 4 quadrants, and applied the technique of parallel connection of DC/DC modules , that is a main concern of this dissertation, is realized. The dissertation introduces the thoughts concerning the design of DC/DC power modules that may be parallel connected. The dissertation studied the topology of system configuration, performed the modeling and MATLAB/Pspice based simulation. The focus was put on the problems and their solutions that may be related to the static and dynamic current sharing of parallel connected DC power modules. The problems such as the circuit and the working mode of the PWM DC/DC modules, the configuration of the parallel connection, the usage of the input DC bus, and the system control strategy were analyzed and discussed as well.Other than the work done on simulation, the dissertation work included the prototype system build-up and experiments on the prototype system. Guided by theoretical results, two set of laboratory prototype DC/DC modules were built up in the laboratory, parallel connected system was composed and experiments were carried out, and the obtained results verified the feasibility of the proposed approach. The dissertation work analyzed the performance of the prototype, revealed the direction of improvement and perfection for the transfer from prototype to product.
