Due to the huge loss caused by modern equipment's breakdown, many countries have concentrated on research of detecting equipment failures before they do something harmful. The technology to diagnose equipment failure and inspect their current status online is then formed and gains popularity. It is a new, synthesizing subject and involves many basic theories and aspects of techniques.With development of science, techniques and economy, the technique mentioned here becomes one of the most important means to assure the system stability, reliability and security. And the development of the sea transportation industry around the world also puts forward the higher request that to achieve a good reputation and benefit, the continuity and effectivity of load and unload equipments, for instance, a derrick's work is a must.For example , the equipment management department of the haven may require such a status detection and security estimation system on their derricks so that detailed states of the engines , retarders and the whole mental structure can be administrated and solve problems in advance to guarantee the normal proceeding of the task..Hence, this thesis focus on the vibration and stress analysis of good-sized bridge type derrick , taking Shanghai Wai gaoqiao container dock and Baogang raw material dock as examples. Then gets some useful conclusions.Firstly, sensors installed on the derricks collects necessary data and then a model (imitate and real object comparison is 1:40) is designed . The data is processed to obtain parameters required to model the system and then the system is realized on computer . Now the position and load of the car of interest can be ready to be used .During the research, two methods are employed: neural network and attribute theory. After comparison by two different methods , we can clearly see which one is of more superior.This thesis draws to the conclusion by the methods of model system?experiment analysis and comparison that the latter one is of more theoretic significance and deeper application background .Then we can say the attribute theory is superior to neural network method in the domain we concerned . And attribute theory is more important in both theory and application.This subject is a national fund project in science: An Attribute Theory and Method for Thinking Construction and memory style (60075016),and a branch fund project in development of education , science and technology of Shanghai(01G04): Intelligence Modeling. It is also another one of Shanghai Zhenhua limited liability corporation: status detection and security estimation for derrick.
