With the development of modern remote sensing technology, more and more multi-resolution, multi-temporal and multi-spectral remote sensing image data are provided by different kinds of remote sensors. To get a more correct, clear and complete knowing about the target, it is urgent for us to find a way to synthesize different kinds of image data. So the technology of image fusion appears. Image fusion is a kind of new fashioned, hot and knotty technology. This paper is based on the tenth five-year plan of national defense and mainly about enhance and classification of image fusion. Therefore this thesis lias pertinence and usefulness.This thesis mainly talks about three parts:The first, the theories and methods of image fusion are analyzed in this paper.The second, the information fusion technology based on the multi-bands images is studied hi this thesis. First, introduce the methods of image fusion based on the multi-bands images. Second, hi multi-bands image fusion, I develop a kind of enhance IMS transform to reduce the lost of color control. According to high frequency information of high-resolution image, this new method modifies the intensity component of the fusion image. Experimental results show that this new method get a better fusion image than traditional IHS transform. The data of this thesis is SAR images of satellite but the arithmetic hi this thesis is still useful for SAR miages of plane.The third, the technologies of image recognition and founding the property database are also studied in this thesis. To let users get a more accurate and clearer information, we use the Envi software to classify the image and store the property of target in the image to the property database.The structure of my thesis is listed as follows. The first chapter is the introduction of this thesis. The second chapter talks about the conception of information fusion, application and research statue of multi-band images fusion and theories and methods of this technology. The third chapter mainly talks about the enhance technology of image fusion. The fourth chapter talks about classification technology used in image fusion. The last chapter summarizes the whole thesis and looks forward the development foreground of this paper. In the end, all reference books and my appendix are listed.
