Spread spectrum code division multiple access technique (SS-CDMA) has successfully been applied in the second generation mobile communication system, such as IS-95. Moreover, the main technique of the third generation mobile communication system is also based on CDMA. So CDMA is irrefutablely competitive. However, the capacity of conventional CDMA communication system is confined by multi-access interference (MAI) and multi-path interference (MPI). At the same time, Multi-Carrier technique has the good ability of anti-multi-path interference. Therefore, people start to find the way to apply Multi-Carrier to CDMA (OFDM), and MC-CDMA system (also called OFDM-CDMA) emerged in time.In this dissertation, OFDM which has been the hottest spot in communication field recently will be considered as my direction. The dissertation will study some key techniques in MC-CDMA system, such as modulation technique, Peak-Average Power Ratio, detection technique and synchronization problem of the whole system. What's more, the results of calculation and simulation will be given. Then, the performance of MC-CDMA system in multi-path fading channels will be simulated and analysed by means of Monte-Carlo method.On the basis of conventional communication techniques in MC-CDMA system, some improved techniques will be employed , and then the performance of the MC-CDMA system can be enhanced further.
