At present, Surface Reconstruction research has become a hot point in Computer Aided Geometric Design (CAGD)&Computer Graphics(CG). Traditional surface modeling has many difficulties in surface reconstruction. In this thesis scattering modeling is used to solve these difficulties. The method of surface reconstruction based on Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is produced in research of interpolatory subdivision surface, and algorithm is designed according to the method of surface reconstruction.The following is a simple introduction to the thesis's main content:1. Error analysis in surface FEAVariation of errors against the normal angular of surface points is produced about surface FEA. A angular is selected according to error of surface FEA. The angular is one of methods to control the data point density of reconstructing surface.2. Surface reconstruction method based on FEASurface of 3D unorganized points is divided into four modes according to the special features of points on surface in this thesis. Surface reconstruction method using 4-point interpolatory subdivision surface is produced according to request of surface FEA in this thesis.3. Algorithm design of surface reconstruction based on FEA Algorithm was designed according to surface reconstruction method inthe thesis. A surface reconstruction system was designed using the C++ Builder 5 software according to surface reconstruction method based on FEA,At last, the surface reconstruction method put forward in this thesis is validated by examples.
