For removing the vide variety of different noise that arises in mobile communication, the paper studied the wavelet transform and a new denoising technique in the wavelet domain: Translation Invariant Denoising, comparing it with the classical orthogonal wavelet transform denoising technique. With the aid of Digital Signal Processing technology, the real-time processing for voice signal has been done in a DSP-core board. ()n basis of this, this paper gave a new idea of applying the translation invariant technique to the wavelet packet denoising .
