The analysis of scattering problems for an anisotropic medium object are complicated, because the constitutive parameters, such as dielectric constant, permeability, conductivity etc. become tensors instead of scalars in isotropic media. We apply the FDTD method to treat the scattering for anisotropic media. By using the Yee's cell, the Maxwell equations are discretized for anisotropic media. We use the linear interpolation scheme for lossy medium, and equivalent medium parameters when the observation point is located at the interface between two media. Our computed results are compared with the data obtained by other methods.
