Pneumatic technology, which is applied widely in industry more and more, has a series of obvious advantages and becomes an important part of automation. After 1990. pneumatic technology is largely improved beyond traditional methods. As the advanced research field, pneumatic servo technology attracts more and more technicians. Pneumatic servo position technology can realize automatic orientation when cylinder moves in high velocity. Pneumatic mechanical hand is developed too and is beyond traditional methods. Based on transmission automation need of packing mechanics, a new pneumatic positioning and separating manipulator is developed.This paper based on assay of cylinder thermodynamics and builds dynamic system mathematical model with thermodynamics. These provide the base for further analysis and discuss. Research status and performance of pneumatic ratio servovalve are deeply analyzed. They provide theoretical base for high accuracy orientation control of servo control system and pointers for improving system performance. Additionally. Festo pneumatic orientation controller SPC100 is deeply analyzed. Design principle and control performance of the controller are studied so that design and research of the mechanical hand are guaranteed in control, which can make system work in the status of optimization. Taking advantage of SPC100 and incorporating PISAsoftwareand S7------200. i design PLC signal control system and achievepneumatic separating manipulator which acts in decided orders and positions any position. Experiments show that the demands of manipulator are satisfied and control character is good.
