Electrical products are widely used in all department of national economy.The contact of electrical apparatus is a key parts whose function is switches a main factor that decide the use life-span of electrical apparatus. Except that the design element play a important part,the surfaces appear and ability of the contact of electrical apparatus is very important. In order to get the above-mentioned parameters on contact surface,the traditional method is that observe the surface and photograph using ordinary testing equipment,compare and artificially analyse the image.This method is relatively backward. This paper provides a new method which using binocular 3D vision technology extract the depth information of the electro-eroded contracts of electrical appararus,rebuild the 3D imageThe paper provide the arithmetic of edge detection and matching applying to the image of the contact surface of electrical apparatus, Rebuild 3D image for disperse data and achieve depth information.In one word,with the expanding of the binocular 3D vision technique applying fields,as a research for a new apply direction of binocular 3D vision,It is a possible applying binocular 3D vision technique to electrical fields.
