| A near MLSE equalization algorithm based on VA (Viterbi algorithm) is presented for overcoming severe ISI (intersymbol interference) in this paper . This algorithm has the characteristic of simplicity of structure and low sensitivity to CIR . Also it is compatible with SOVA and it can improve the system performance if we use SOVA . The computer simulation shows that the algorithm has good performance for overcoming ISI , especially for the channel that has many multipath . Furthermore, we develop some modified forms of this algorithm for increasing its application or improving its performance .In addition , for improving system's performance, the paper also research on the Soft-Output Viterbi algorithm , especially on M-ary SOVA . Also combining with M-ary SOVA and our near MLSE algorithm, we introduce a Soft-Output near MLSE equalization algorithm . |
