Based on digital signal processor, DSP technology has been developing rapidly. Nowadays, it has been used in many new technology fields, such as image processing, control, telecommunication and so on. Consisted of ADSP21060-SHARC parallel 32-bit floating point DSP, distributed parallel system and shared bus parallel system will satisfy signal processing tasks in SAR application fields.This paper discusses Range-Doppler (RD) algorithm and two-dimension detachable algorithm in the side-looking model in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) respectively, then studies the realization on multi-chips ADSP21060 SHARC DSP system.Chapter 1 sets forth Range-Doppler (RD) algorithm and two-dimension detachable algorithm in the side-looking model in synthetic aperture radar, which is also the fundamental of hardware realization.Chapter 2 introduces Darlington PCI board software and hardware developing environment and debugging steps.Chapter 3 sets down the hardware realization methods on SHARC system. With on hand hardware resources, how to make full use of the resources is discussed. At the end of this chapter, the processing results are given.Chapter 4 puts forward measures to speed up signal processing and introduces how to use computer RAM as external device. Thus, SHARC can access this external device via PCI bus to make full use of resources.In the end, we summarize the whole work. Besides, tasks to be studied and resolved are pointed out. On the basis of the work of this paper, experience is accumulated for further development of radar real time signal processing in our lab.
