The emergence of SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) extends the former concept of radar,and SAR possesses the capacity of imaging and identification on district target(ground)despite bad weather, low visibility, and which is also of great importance inmodernization of national defense technique and economic construction.In Chapter 1 of this dissertation, the development course, application domain and researchsituation are reviewed briefly, and then intention and main contribution of this dissertationare summarized.Chapter 2 sets forth the imaging principle of SAR, and discusses theoretic model of SAR,and then introduces the principle of strip imaging SAR. In the last section of this Chapter,the mechanism of range migration is analyzed.Chapter 3 analyzes the principle of wavenumber domain(w_k) algorithm and simplifiedwavenumber domain algorithm in detail. With the realization of emulation, performance ofthese two methods is compared.Chapter 4 discusses how to process live data by adopting wavenumber domain(w_k)algorithm and its simplified algorithm, and achieves satisfying results.In the end, merits and defects of wavenumber domain(w_k) algorithm are analyzed, andsome problems needed to be solved are put forward.
