The designs and applications of neuron model-free control systems are discussed in this thesis. Several neuron control methods are proposed and the simulation experiments with the examples of industrial plants are made. The main contents of this thesis are as follows: 1. A survey of the development of neural networks and the neuro-control sysytems is summarized. 2. The basic theories of neuron model-free control are introduced. 3. To the velocity control of a hydraulic turbine generator, the neuron model-free control method with a self-tuning neuron gain is proposed to design the controller. Simulation results show that the controller could operate efficiently and it is very convenient to use in practice. 4. To thc basis weight control system of papcr machines, the fuzzy-neuron compound controller is presented and the simulation tests are made. Good performances are obtainted under various working conditions. 5. A neuron control method with a self-tuning neuron gain based on parameter estimation is proposed for a pH neutralization process which is a highly nonlinear process. Simulation results show that the proposed method has good performances, stong robustness and disturbance-rejection.
