The purpose of this thesis is to realize a digital multi-media classroom with pure software. For this purpose, windows interface should be encoded quickly and efficiently.At the beginning of the thesis, the author gives a statistical analysis to the distribution of black and white code length and work out an optimal code length, which can improve compression rate. Then design a coding scheme with variable code length, which improve the compressibility efficiently.Considering the discipline of windows interface抯 variance, the author presents a fast algorithm for image segmentation. It can accomplish accurate image segmentation and work out all different rectangle regions between two frames. Based on accurate image segmentation, the author discuss the prediction coding and compensation coding of frame movement in detail. A fast matching method is proposed to decrease the time redundancy.Finally, according to statistical result and visual features, the author present a fast quantification method based on gray level. It can make a look up table quickly.
