Fluorescent magnetic particle detection is a NDT method that often is used for testing trivial flaws on the surface of some steel workpieces and for controlling qualities of product. Semiautomatic device for fluorescent magnetic particle detection has been largely used. But the flaws are recognised by manual work. There are a mass of factors which affect the testing and the work condition is atrocious. So it is important to develop a system of fluorescent magnetic particle auto-detection devices. This paper mainly presents a auto-detection flaw testing system. The system is made up of hardware and software. Hardware includes computer, image sample board, image sensor (CCD) and circuit for driving and amplif~抜ng signal. Software is the core of the system. It mainly includes image sampling, image segmentation, image mathematic morphologic pretreatment, threshold division, label, eigenvalue extraction and flaw recognition. The algorithm of image processing is the core of the software. According to the algorithm of an effective fast adaptive dynamic thresholding algorithm which was presented by lab. So it can treat with light region problem and can deal with the lose of information. Label adopt a fast label algorithm with is based of scanning. At last, extract eigenvalues from region, According to these eigenvalues check out the flaws. At the end of this paper ,present some possible solution which improve the effect. At the same time, forecast the development of the fluorescent magnetic particle detection.
