Aesthetic education is the cultivation of the aesthetic faculties through aesthetic practice and activities. Biology in itself is full of beauty of science and beauty of nature. Aesthetic biology teaching which is necessary to the implementation of quality education is an important part of the system of aesthetic courses in schools and an important approach to executing aesthetic education. Education without aesthetic education is not complete, and similarly, the biology education which doesn't contain aesthetic education is not the complete education, either.Implementation of aesthetics education is carried through the teaching practice which fosters the full and harmonious development of the students by exploring the beaching materials itself and the artistic form of teaching. The aesthetics of biology teaching aims to fully display the artistic form of biology teaching in schools. Thus, in biology teaching we should make the most of the biological advantages in aesthetic education, and cultivate the potential aesthetic function in biology textbooks. In combination with biology teaching, we should train our students to discover beauty, appreciate beauty and cultivate images of beauty so as to enable them to develop their personality for the purpose of building aesthetic personality. In biology teaching, aesthetic education should be emphasized to cultivate the students'proper aesthetic consciousness, the formation of aesthetic standards, and also the improvement of the faculties of appreciating beauty and creating beauty.This thesis analyzes and demonstrates the necessity, the principles and the significance of the implementation of aesthetic education, from the perspective of social development, the status quo of high school aesthetic education, the trend of educational reform and the training of the students quality. The thesis also researches into the aesthetic formation, basic forms and the principle of aesthetic design. The thesis introduces my personal practice of some aesthetic biology teaching approaches like infectious teaching approach, visual teaching approach, inspired teaching approach, laboratory teaching approach and conversational teaching approach through some detailed cases. Meanwhile, appropriate extra-curricular activities can also allow students to have experience in aesthetics. Analysis shows that exploration and practice of aesthetic biology teaching in high school can significantly improve the intellect and the aesthetic faculties of the students.
