DanceSport, with the combination of sports, music and dance together, is very popular among the public; meanwhile, for its high value of fitness, communication and entertainment, it is also welcomed by the college teachers and students. The course of DanceSport, opened as one of the Physical Education courses in college, has a history of nearly 15 years in Shandong province, though a lot of valuable experiences have been accumulated until now, the further improvements are still required. The thesis, with the aid of document literature, questionnaire survey, mathematical analysis, expert interview and comparative analysis, focused on the DanceSport curriculum, teaching materials, teaching facilities and the teaching staff structure in Shandong province, as well as the extent to which college students are in favor of it, also the motivation of their course selection. The thesis analyzed the factors which restricted and affected the development of college DanceSport program, and put forward the countermeasures for existing problems and deficiencies, then it came to the following conclusions, which can also enrich and develop the college DanceSport course:1,We should notice that the present status of DanceSport course in colleges of Shandong province is not so optimistic, but luckily, on the other hand, it is becoming more and more popular in these colleges, and it is still on the rise.2,The teacher resources are relatively weak in DanceSport, the main reason is that most teachers of DanceSport are originally professional teachers in gymnastics, art gymnastics, and etc.3,At present, the lack of targeted DanceSport teaching material is also the problem. Therefore, the teaching materials of most college DanceSport are basically optional, and the teaching content is set by the teacher himself/herself, there is no unified and standardized requirement for teaching content.4,For the ignorance and lack of enough financial input, the simple DanceSport facilities fall behind in some colleges, therefore, the spread of DanceSport is hampered. In addition, the means of DanceSport teaching are rigid in some colleges, and they didn't make full use of multimedia teaching resources there.5,After investigation and study, we have found that the factors which constrained and affected the development of college DanceSport are various, the main factors include: condition of facilities, allocation of funds, cognition of students, the quality of teachers and the familiarity of latest information, and so on.6,The development of college DanceSport can be realized in the interaction of teaching system and auxiliary system. The teaching system is composed of curriculum, teaching style, performance evaluation system, faculty system, student organization system and extracurricular training. The auxiliary system consists of hardware, software and the importance attached by the directors. The interaction and mutual promotion of these two parts will eventually realize the value of DanceSport courses. |
