The sustainable development of the competitive sports of the disabled is an important subject that the disabled sports are facing in the new century in our country. To strengthen the scientific training of Chinese Paralympic Table Tennis Team is the key factor to ensure the sustainable development of it. The disabled table tennis is the necessary part of the disabled sports and one of the preponderant sports events of the Paralympic competitive sports of our country. For forty years, table tennis of our country always goes ahead the other countries. With the development of the society and the continuous enhancement of the National Power, Paralympic table tennis develops rapidly. In recent years, no matter in Paralympic Games of Pacific Areas or in Paralympic Games, Paralympic table tennis gets significant achievements. Especially in Beijing Paralympic Games of 2008, Chinese Disabled Table Tennis Team was the biggest winner of the disabled table tennis competition, which shows the all-round advantages of Chinese table tennis. There are 26 athletes all together, among which,12 are in sitting and 14 are in standing (12 women athletes,14 men athletes). It is the time that Chinese table tennis team has the most athletes for the Paralympic Games. After 9-day fierce competition, Chinese Paralympic Table Tennis Team won 13 golden medals, among which,8 medals for singles and 5 for team events. However, young athletes under 16 years old are short of in our country, which means there are no enough reserved athletes. Paralympic types are not balanced. Severely impaired ones are greatly in shortage, especially the athletes of TT1 and TT2 ranks, which limits us when joining international competitions. Athletes in sitting are more long-lived than ones in standing. The training years are in direct proportion to the sportive age. Athletes have long time systematic training achieve more than the others. Some athletes' techniques are more advanced than normal people with the same age.The average age of coaches of the Paralympic table tennis in China is 48, which is rather old. Most of them are part-time coaches for common athletes who take part in the disabled table tennis' teaching and training for a short time without a complete system. They are often sent temporarily before the match without stability, constancy and the knowledge of the relative theories and the psychological knowledge of the disabled athletes. Their diplomas are not as good as the coaches' of common athletes. The disabled table tennis owns significant values of politics, education, health and body-building. Compared with the common people' competitions, the disabled ones are obviously fewer, especially the matches for young people. This is not good for the discovery of the talents and the development of the disabled table tennis in our country. The funds for the table tennis in every provincial association for the handicapped come from the national financial administration, which is greatly insufficient. Having no ability to organize the daily use, these funds can only be used for national matches. The disabled table tennis teams are not much in our country, however, in Beijing, Shanghai and the other developed areas the disabled table tennis has a tendency to shrink. The disabled table tennis players of our country joined Paralympic Games from 1984. In 1988, we won the first golden medals of it (3 for women). By now, we have taken part in 7 Paralympic Games and won 31 golden medals. The growths from slight rank to the severe one and from women athletes only to men and women balanced stage make us catch up with the world's development. At the same time, the disabled table tennis is developing towards the competitive sports based on the techniques and the play grounds of the common people. Before the Beijing Paralympic Games, the professional training of Poland, Czech, France and Ukraine, etc. in our common table tennis teams threatened us. Facing these, we made scientific plans. It shows the theory of scientific training and competition. The successful experience of Beijing Paralympic Games is found through the statistics and the analyses of the Chinese Paralympic Table Tennis Team. And the suitable method for London Paralympic Games is discovered based on scientific athletes' selection, training, management and competition according to the present situation of our country.
