Creative ability is an indispensable quality for all the people in this knowledge economy era, also a new demand from the times. While cultivating large quantities of creative talents requires research-base learning, which involves a great transform of educational ideas and teaching patterns. However, in the process of promoting this new teaching and learning pattern, some schools and teachers are vague about its orientation and operations, or even misinterpret it. Therefore, it is necessary to study the development history of research-based learning in China.Based on analyzing the connotations and characteristics of research-based learning, the author applies literature and description method, discussing the self-exploration and introduction period of this learning pattern in China, parsing the idea of'Awareness of Subjective Exploration'by Tao Xing-zhi, pointing out that in some domestic primary and middle schools, interest groups and extracurricular activities have provided space and time for carrying out research-based learning, while the introduction of research-based learning to China has been the perquisite of formally experimenting this new pattern of learning. The experiment in Shanghai has brought forth the birth of implementation of research-based learning, and turning it into a government behavior, enabling the possibility of promoting this learning nation-wide. As a new learning pattern embodying the ideas of Quality Education, this learning pattern begins to melt into the daily teaching and learning activities of schools.Through the study on the development course of research-based learning, the author has combed up its development history, clarifying its development direction, and at the same time pointing out problems found in its implementations and relative countermeasures. All these have laid out a good foundation for further promoting this learning pattern nation-wide, fully applying it in teaching activities, and for China's school education better suiting and pushing forward the development of economy and people. |
