In the time of knowledge economy, the competitiveness of organizations depends on the ability of gaining knowledge and innovations. So it is an inevitable choice for organizations to use knowledge management. The purpose of knowledge management is to"transfer proper knowledge to the right people at the suitable time in the best way". Just because of this, It can be regarded as the efficient way to improve the competitiveness of person and organizations and enhance the operational efficiency. The colleges and universities are typical knowledge intensive organizations. It is available and conformed to put the concept, method and skills of knowledge management into use of higher education. The purpose of the information literacy instruction of universities is to enhance the information literacy of students, and make students keep pace with the information surroundings of knowledge economy time. From the perspective of knowledge management,we should choose the ways and means of information literacy instruction which fit for the purpose of education. Integrated knowledge management and information literacy of colleges and universities, this paper attempts to improve the method of information literacy instruction and enhance the efficiency of the instruction, with the purpose of promoting colleges and universities students. As the core of literacy instruction, information literacy, is an important way to train students'spirit of innovation, and to make creating-based talents. The improvement of students information literacy will help them to enhance their competence of independence study , question-solving and critical thinking. So it is significant to train creating-based talent of this knowledge economy society.Based on the above logic arrangements, the thesis discusses four parts. Firstly, the arthor introduces the implication of knowledge management, information literacy and information literacy instruction, and aslo gives a panorama of the present of information literacy instucion broad and home. Meanwhile, the arthor points out the questions of existing in the current information quality education in our country. Then, the arthor, based on knowledge management theory, builds a model of information literacy, with the purpose of promoting the implement of knowledge management through providing informative enviroment and knowledge-sharing culture atmosphere, with the purpose of improving teachers'professional development through knowledge management, with the purpose of solving the questions such as the single form of information quality education through the implement of knowledge management. Finally, the conclusion is obtained, also the deficiency of this study and further prospects are described.Based on logic explation , the author mainly adopts the method of referential matericals, informant interviews,comparison analyses, and systematic analyses. Meanwhile, for the rationality and persuasive argument, the author designs abundant graph and tables in this paper. The following are the originalities of this paper: it expanded the reseach of information literacy theory through using knowledge management theory. Based on knowledge management theory, the model of information literacy, combined with the two theories, may be original. Meanwhile, there may be some acturality available in the measures of solving information literacy instruction in colleges and universities from the perspective of schools, teachers and process of information literacy instruction.
