Teacher professional identity refers to the teacher's overall view about the value and significance of being a teacher.It is the core of the whole process in which the teacher percepting the working situation, give meaning to it and taking action,and also a pluralistic, dynamic developing self-recognition process. For student teacher who will be a special teacher, teacher professional identity is a process which integrates the value,significance of the individual and their professional. It is the most enduring source of emotional power of being a teacher or to be a teacher, which directly determines the individual's career motivation, intention of being a teacher, the cultivation of professional awareness, and even the future of the teaching ethics standards.The thesis uses narrative inquiry method, invites a senior special education student teacher (under the pseudonym of Biao Biao) as a case, analyzes the meaning of teacher professional identity through the story that the case narrated and then reveales the development process and influecing factors.The thesis presents a case history of teacher professional identity from the family background, student experience, professional learning, teaching practice, career choices, future prospects and describes the content of teacher professional identity from career motivation, professional recognition, professional preparation, self imagine. And then analyzed the growth trajectory and influecing factors of teacher professional identity of the case. Finally, the thesis puts forward suggestions to promote the special education student teacher's professional identity from the perspectives of special education student teacher, special teacher training institutions, special schools,the state and society in order to provide a reference and basis for improving teaching and cultivation of special education student teacher.
