Teacher education is a specialized education of training teachers. It is the master of all educational work. The quality which is good or bad of teacher education affects the quality of basic education directly. The core and key to the teacher education are curriculums. So, it is necessary to study the existing curriculum of teacher education in order to improve the quality of teacher education.This text first generally introduces and reviews the process of development of teacher education in China and France Then the paper put the focus on the comparing the curriculum development of teacher education between two countries from the aspect of standard, objective, structure, and content. We can find that the standard of China's teacher education curriculum or value is the "knowledge-based" and ignore the "educational capacity" by the study; the objective is general and vague, is not good Ofor guiding practical performance; the structure is not scientific, reflecting in the disproportion about subject curriculum and general curriculum, education and professional curriculum, as well as the theoretical course and practical course, and unbalance in the proportion of required course and optional course; the content is outdated and can not keep pace with the needs of development and so on. According to the comparison, the writer put forward the enlightenments by French in teacher education's curriculum development, mainly in the following areas:renewing the preception of curriculum development; setting up scientific objective of curriculum development; adjusting the structure of curriculum development; and integrating the content of curriculum development.
