This paper seeks to analyze and study the ideas of traditional teaching theory in socioligical perspective. Sociality is the intrinsic attribute of teaching activity. Excavating the sociality of ancient educator's primary teaching thought with sociology perspective plays an important role in broadening the research areas and ideas of the teaching theory,particularly the traditional teaching theory.Human is the common character of teaching and society. Teaching is conducted in the community.The teacher and the students are social man.The teaching is "by man" and "for man". It doesn't exist the human's teaching in the non-society. The objectives and contents of teaching are subject to the society.From the traditional teaching purposes's view, both "The official career chooses the one with excellent study", "Establish a nation and govern the citizens" and " Enlighten the people and make them have good custom " or "Three Programmes" and the "eight items" view of educational are aims to adapt and meet the needs of social development, to express the basic structure of society " the integration of nation and family ",and to reflect close relationship between the personal training and the nation. All revealed a distinct political color; The traditional teaching contents is mainly based on humanities and social sciences, the curriculum is based on "Six Arts",and the teaching materials is based on the main Confucian classics,such as "Six Classics" "Four Books" "Thirteen Classics " and so on;Judging from the traditional relationship between teacher and student,"The absolute authority of the teachers" reflects the working relationship;"The teacher and the student can profit from each other" reflects two-way socialization; "A student, needless to say, is not always inferior to his teacher,a teacher is not always better than his student" that reflects strong human touch; "learning, thinking, and behaviour " is the main clues of the traditional way of teaching,and the"behaviour "is the ultimate goal.
