In the basic education reform of 20th century, many countries realized the importance of teachers' professional quality and teacher education.Thus, these countries began to make standards of teacher education for the teacher professional development from 1980's. As the most successesful country, UK has a perfect standard and mature curriculum system.Summing up excellent experience from UK can provide available reference for China.In historical and logical term, the tendency of curriculum of initial teacher education of UK is from simple skill training to teacher professional development. During the wave of making teacher professional standards around the world, how the standard of UK influences the teacher education curriculum.Then the research analyses the design and characteristic of UK curriculum of initial teacher education based on standard and taking BEd curriculum and PGCE curriculum of Cambridge University as example, clarifies its training objective, curriculum design and content, teaching method and evaluation mode.It is summed up that the UK curriculum of initial teacher education characterize flexible module, valuing educational curriculum, practice ability and variable evaluation model.The thesis combs the development and status of teacher education curriculum in China and analyses the problems.Teacher education curriculum of China can learn from the experiences of UK, such as the ideal of teacher education curriculum is children-oriented,the curriculum standard is based on teacher professional development, the curriculum structure is openly practice-oriented, and the teacher education is integrated, professional and lifelong.
