| As one of the most important measures in reformation of higher education, major conversion is not only an innovation and progress, but also appears to respect the university students and the views of student-oriented. It contributes public's acknowledge to higher education, induce the relative regulations changed and promote the qualities and effect when students are trained.This study takes students from 11 universities in Zhejiang Province as an example who have completed major conversion and concentrates on the pre or post status quo of these students. It will conclude several status quo about difference during the processes and major adaptability by analyzing learning status, interpersonal communication, employment estimation, satisfactory degree and adaptability before or after conversion.The 168 valid data used in this paper are from a great number of questionnaires, with application of SPSS11.0 to statistically analyze. Meanwhile, it is adopted some particular cases to make a deep analysis through several interviews with those students who have changed their majors and those people who manage the major conversion. It is necessary to excavate the deep thoughts of major converted students and provide information and evidence to compensate the data in the paper.It is discovered that the post degree of satisfaction is higher than previous on interpersonal communication, learning status, employment expectation by comparing the gender, types of professions, admission batch, source place and grades. It is universal that most students are in a good adaptabilities and different admission batch and arts students get more benefits. However, it is inevitable some students are not able to suit themselves in new majors. Moreover, most students tend to choose those specialize and key majors based on their interests and employment expectations.As for universities, major conversion system as still in the exploration and continuous improvement phase, students should be further revised and improved major conversion system and regulate the circulation of the professional program. |
