| Cultivating program for postgraduates of physical education teaching and training has legal power. It includes a set of directory documents and serves as the foundation of standardized cultivation and management for postgraduates. As a significant cultivating platform of postgraduate education and corresponding quality guarantee system, as well as the most basic quality criteria, the scientificalness, comprehensiveness and reasonableness of cultivating program may influence the educational quality and benefits of postgraduates.This study explored forty eight domestic cultivating programs for postgraduates of physical education teaching and training. Literature reviewing and logistic analysis were employed to analyze and make comparisons. The conclusions and suggestions were given as follows:The conclusions indicated that:1.There were both common grounds and differences among the 48 cultivating programs.A few of them needed to be improved and revised due to some problems and the fact that they were not complete and systematic enough.2.The cultivating objectives solely focused on the cultivation of academic talents, failing to catch up with social development and demand.3.The arrangement of research directions had moderate width and suitable number, and was relatively stable.However, there was a lack of consistent rule and criteria for detailed requirements and content.4.Flexible cultivating span was adopted yet inconsistency existed in the introductions and requirements of different cultivating programs, which needed further improvement.5.The curriculum system had a relatively complete structure and credit system was used.There was a gap between the curriculum and the demand of future career. Differences and problems existed in the curriculum content, credit system and class period, as well as the proportion and categorization of the curriculum.6.Every cultivating program had inconsistent rules and requirements for each stage of dissertation. There was a lack of detailed requirements for the content.7.Current cultivating modes and methods ensured the education quality yet their content still needed improvement.8.More attention should be paid to practical activities and motor skills. The suggestions are:1.Constructing the cultivating program in a scientific and standardized manner. Enhancing academic exchange and cooperation to learn from and refer to others. Improving the integrity and arrangement of the detailed contents.2.Setting reasonable and accurate objectives so as to cultivate academic talents of applied researches to meet the demand of social development.3.Scientifically establishing and timely updating the research directions. Consistent categorizing criteria and standardized titles are needed. Detailed contents need further improvement.4.Flexible cultivating span should be adopted. Scientific and reasonable study span management system needs to be established.5.The curriculum system needs to be improved and its management system be reformed.The categorization, content, class period, credit and proportion of the curriculum needs to be arranged in a rational manner. Better teaching program and textbook construction as well as more up-to-date teaching content are needed to bridge the gap between current teaching and future career.6.Setting standardized requirements for dissertation and strict progress management. Improving relevant content concerning dissertation.7.Improving cultivating modes and methods and strictly executing the requirements for every stage.8.Paying enough attention to both theory and practice and encouraging the students to participate in practical activities so as to improve their practical ability. |
