This thesis applied the idea of developing education to Hohhot Number 2 Middle School, the model high school of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In combination of the writer's own experience in moral education of students and the reality of the Hohhot Number 2 Middle School and from the point of view of the current situation of moral education of model high school students, the thesis analyzes the error in high school moral education and puts forward the problems deserving our attention and effective measures to be taken, hoping to play a stimulating role in strengthening the moral education of High School students.The first part of the thesis illustrates model high school by analyzing the difference between model high school and average high school from the following aspects: the uniqueness of running the school, the ideology of running the school and personality cultivation of the students. The thesis argues that these differences results from the historical and cultural differences of the school, the construction input and the students resources. The thesis also analyzes the current situation of morality of model high school students from their political, ideological, moral, legal and psychological quality.The second part states the errors in high school ideological and moral education: the first, the moral education is not taken seriously enough; the second, the education is conveyed most by words rather than deeds; the third, the focus of management is mainly on requirements rather than on cultivation; the fourth, the manner of management is mainly carried out through interest inducements rather than through guide; the fifth, the highlights of teaching practice is mainly on theory rather than on practice; the sixth, the direction of public opinion is mainly on individual rather than community. The third part of the thesis proposes the effective measures in strengthening the ideological and moral cultivation of model high school students by summing up their own working experience, the school's actual situation and the above phenomenon and problems in moral education.First, promoting the internalization of moral education based on the people-oriented ideology.Second, teachers play the leading role and strengthen the students'self-awareness while promoting the optimization of moral education.Third, making full use of various vectors and promoting the universal education of morality among students.Fourth, constructing a theoretical system of moral education and developing its institutionalizing function.Fifth, establishing and improving the evaluation mechanism and system and promoting scientific systematic evaluation of moral education.
