Based on The Standard of Curriculum of Fine Arts, taking the folk fine arts in Inner Mongolia as the source material and the teaching of fine arts as the carrier, the research tries to explore, develop, and sort out the local folk fine arts which are suitable to the middle school students so that the essential folk fines arts of the nationality of Inner Mongolia can be inherited and the students'love to their hometown and Inner Mongolia can be strengthened. Through the practice of fine arts teaching in middle school, the students'horizon of fine arts culture can be broadened and their ability of appreciation of fine arts can be improved which can result in enriching the teaching content, improving the campus culture, and fostering the spirit of loving the hometown and better understanding of Inner Mongolia among the students. Meanwhile, through the teaching practice, the characteristic of local teaching of fine arts in Inner Mongolia can be reflected, the local folk fine arts can be shared, and the outstanding culture of Inner Mongolia can be enhanced and inherited.The article probes into how to apply the folk fine arts of the nationality of Inner Mongolia effectively and provides the concrete measures: firstly, to combine the teaching of fine arts with activities of folk customs after class; secondly, to develop the teaching by introducing the curriculum source of the local characters into the class, approaching the art of patterns of the nationality of Inner Mongolia, unfolding the natural scenic of Inner Mongolia in teaching, and showing the art characteristic of Mongolian yurt in appreciation class; thirdly, to encourage the students to have the art creation to enhance their love to hometown and to inform them the protection of environment and resources; finally, to emphasize the reasonable choice in learning of the students and to solve the relationship between the inherit and innovation.
