The Research Of Teaching Ability And Research Capability Of Jiangsu Province College Physical Education Teachers

Physical Education of Colleges and Universities is involved in the cultivation of high-level personnel quality, so colleges and universities must have a group of good sports teachers. The quality of the physical education teachers depends critically on their teaching ability and research capacity. It is necessary to continuously improve the ability of teachers in physical education teaching and scientific research capabilities in order to conform to the deepening development of the contemporary Physical Education and competent the requirements for the fundamental task of a variety of personnel quality training in modern society.Therefore, the ambitious goal of every physical education teacher is to improve his teaching ability and research capacity, which is the need for research. We need to investigate and research the real level of teaching ability and research capabilities of sports teachers in Jiangsu Province. The present research is about"the status of teachers'teaching and research in Jiangsu Province"and focuses on the following aspects: first, we will analyze of the basic situation of physical education teachers and their ability of teaching and scientific research. Second, we will look for factors that impact teachers'teaching ability and research capacity, and then make proper recommendations. The aim is to give some references for PE teachers in Jiangsu Province to improve their teaching ability and research capacity. In this study, we will use several methods, such as literature review, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics and so on, to investigate the present situation of teaching and scientific research of sports teachers in Jiangsu Province.Results:1. College Physical Education Teachers in Jiangsu Province are getting younger and younger. That is the characteristics of age structure. The proportion of young and middle-aged teachers is very high, while that of the old teachers is very low. The professional title is reasonable. With the gradual increasing of the academic structure, a small part of the physical education teachers with low degree should quickly upgrade their qualifications in order to constantly improve the educational structure of college sports teachers.2. Our college physical education teachers have good teaching ability. They have good cognitive ability, the capability of designing education program, the ability to control the characteristics of physical education, the capacity of using teaching methods and organizing managementHowever, evaluation of teaching ability is not strong and not complete. Due to the traditional way of evaluation, physical education teachers still evaluate teaching always according to the top three choices: teaching effectiveness, timely feedback of learning and learning behavior. But they don't focus on other elements, such as relationships of promoting students'mental health, learning environment, teacher-student interaction and student performance during their evaluation.3. Physical education teachers in Jiangsu Province have certain creative ability, which is to sort the top three: innovative teaching methods, means to tap new teaching contents and teaching methods change. But the methods are not comprehensive and are lack of innovation, which is necessary for college physical education teachers to improve and enhance.4. College Physical Education Teachers in Jiangsu Province have a good research base and certain research capability. The number of published papers is high. There are only a few core papers and more less editors of textbooks and published monographs among them. Their scientific researches are limited to the professional field, and inter-disciplinary study is less. And the lack of continuity is shown in their researches with single methods and less collaborative research.5. There are three top elements to influence the improvement of sports teachers'teaching and research capabilities in Jiangsu Province. They are own efforts of physical education teachers, their promotion title and their incentives. Therefore, we give our suggestions here based on the above analysis. For Physical education teachers, they should work hard and make their efforts to improve their teaching ability and the research capability. For colleges and universities, the leaders should establish a scientific incentive mechanism and pay more attention to the physical education teachers.
