With the popularity of team theories and practices, the team-working has become an important form in school's working and learning. As university students are going into the society, not only the professional knowledges and abilities are necessary, but the comprehensive qualifications are more important, such as the adaptability to society, interpersonal and communication skills, stress tolerance, and teamwork spirit which is paid more attention to right now. Team value is the core of team culture, which could reflect the team spirit, team awareness and team coordination. Besides, the understanding of team and team culture can be judged from the team values by team members.Team values are the overall assessments of the internal and external environment and the overall views which are shared and recognized by the majorities of members. Team values could lead all members to reach a consensus that the students agree on.Based on the previous studies and results of other researchers, this study held the investigation on 800 university students of Suzhou University and Suzhou Science and Technology College by questionnaires, checked the reliability and validity of questionnaires, analysed the general characteristics of the team values of university students, discussed the backgrounds of the students. This paper also explores the relationships of team values and campus team-building, and concludes the innovations and the deficits in the end. The results showed that:(1) Based on some well-known surveys, the questionnaires--the investigation of team values of university students, composed by the 27 items and consisted of 6 factors, which are respectively named as team cooperation, members' communication, supervisor's authority, team cohesion, team environment and innovation.(2) In college team activities, the mutual respect and cooperation are the most accepted values; the following factors are members' communication, team cohesion, team atmosphere, supervisor's authority; and team innovation got the lowest score relatively. (3) Currently, the mutual respect and cooperation among university students are the most prominent features. In generally, the communication in the team is also quite smooth; members' cohesion, the sense of pride and environment are quite well; but the situation of supervisor's authority, and members' innovation are relatively low, which need to be improved.(4) The variance analysis of different backgrounds show that the major, student management experience, hometown location, parental education level are the influential background factors on university students' team values .Finally, the shortcomings of this study and further research problems to be solved are described.
