Over the three years of employing the policy of the tuition-free education, the normal colleges which are directly under the Department of Education have find that the initiative of the tuition-free college students is very low, which make the teachers and the researchers worry about their future. Although the academic world has pay attention to the motivation of the tuition-free normal college students, however, the study is not so complete and does not go deep into it.During the three years, I have been thinking about the reasons of the low motivation of the students and have been seek for the countermeasures. On the basis of the structure of the learning motivation of the tuition-free normal college students, this research analyses the motivation of the tuition-free students, especially the problems aroused and the causes of these problems. Then, on the basis of the above research, this thesis provides some disciplines and countermeasures that should be followed in solving the problems.This thesis mainly contains four parts as following:The first part is the introduction. In the introduction, the author firstly gives the reasons of choosing this topic, and defines the relative conceptions in this research. Secondly, through the literature review, the author discusses the research findings of the preceding researchers and the meaningful influence of these research findings on this thesis. Thirdly, the methods being used in this research is displayed. Meanwhile, the author explains the designing of the questionnaire, the selecting of the samples and the dealing of the statistics.The second part is the theoretical basis of this thesis. Firstly, this thesis analyses the motive power originally from the perspective of psychology, turns the motive power into motivation, and defines the learning motivation through analogy. Secondly, on the basis of general description of the theory of the learning motivation and the relative researches, this thesis constructs the structure of the learning motivation of the tuition-free normal college students, which is the basis of designing the questionnaires and analysis of the problems of the motivation of the tuition-free normal college students.The third part is the investigation and analysis of the present situation. On the basis of the motivation structure, the author discusses the situation of learning motivation of the tuition-free students from aspects of the students'self-need, aim of the study, interest of the study, sense of self-efficacy, attribution, the policy of the tuition-free education of the normal students, family background, the regulation of the prizing and punishing and social relationship and analyses the reasons.The fourth part is the conclusion. This thesis is about the questions of the learning motivation of the tuition-free normal college students, and tries to puts forth that solving the problems should follow the discipline of student-oriented, fairness of education and active participation. In the end, the author proposes some measures to the government, the instruction institution, teachers, students and parents, such as strengthening the attraction of being a teacher by raising the remuneration of teachers; giving the tuition-free normal college students the chances of "second rationality"; constructing the elimination mechanism; the tuition-free normal college students should stick to the faith of being a teacher and so on.
